26 de noviembre de 1939 /// November 26, 1939

En la localidad de Mainila (URSS), el 26 de noviembre de 1939, se produce el Incidente de Mainila, donde la ciudad es atacada por artillería. Los soviéticos, culparon a Finlandia del hecho, pero ésta negó tener algo que ver cono lo sucedido. En concecuencia, el 30 de noviembre de 1939, cuatro días después del incidente, comienza la Guerra de Invierno, en donde se enfrentaron la URSS y Finlandia hasta el 12 de marzo de 1940.
En 1998, el presidente de Rusia, Boris Yeltsin, el mismo presidente que entregó a Polonia las órdenes firmadas por el propio Stalin para llevar a cabo la Masacre de Katyn, reconoció que el que en realidad atacó Mainila, fueron los propios soviéticos como excusa para invadir Finalndia.

PACTO ANTIKOMINTERN /// ANTIKOMINTERN PACT

El 25 de noviembre de 1936, el embajador japonés Kintomo Mushakoji en Berlín, firma un pacto entre la Alemania Nazi y el Imperio del Japón. En el pacto quedaba pactado que los dos países se aliaban contra la Unión de Repúblicas Socialistas Soviéticas (URSS) y se reconocía Manchukuo, un estado títere originado durante la ocupación japonesa de la región china de Manchuria. Un año después , en 1937, se incorporaría al pacto Italia. La firma del Pacto Antikomintern, es el primer paso en la conformación de las fuerzas del Eje.

CONFERENCIA DEL CAIRO (22 de noviembre de 1943) /// CAIRO CONFERENCE (november 22,1943)

La conferencia se desarrolló en el Cairo, Egipto, entre los dias 22 y 26 de noviembre de 1943. Asistieron a dicha conferencia, el representante Estados Unidos, el presidente Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, en calidad de primer ministro del Reino Unido y el general Chiang Kai Shek como emisario de China; también participaron Edvard Benes, presidente de Checoslovaquia y un representante de la Francia Libre.
Los temas que abarcaron la conferencia fueron: la organización de las futuras Naciones Unidas, en la que se definió dos clases de miembros, "grandes" y " pequeños"; la Guerra del Pacífico contra Japón y sus implicaciones para el futuro de China, Corea e Indochina; las futuras operaciones militares de los aliados en Europa; y, por último, la campaña de Italia, país que ya había firmado un armisticio secreto con los aliados, el 3 de septiembre del mismo año. También, entre las decisiones que se tomaron en la conferencia, estaba la afirmación solemne de los asistentes de mantener la guerra contra el Japón hasta lograr la rendición completa del Imperio nipón. Al mismo tiempo, se exigió a Japón la devolución de Taiwán y Manchuria a China (reconocida como la Cuarta Gran Potencia) y su retirada de las colonias de Corea y Taiwán, así como la derogación de los Mandatos de la Sociedad de Naciones que confirieron la soberanía a Japón sobre casi todos los territorios de la Micronesia al finalizar la Primera Guerra Mundial.

Los asistentes a la conferencia también expresaron con contundencia su falta de interés por expansionarse territorialmente a costa de Japón, así como la no exigencia de reparaciones económicas.

The conference was held in Cairo, Egypt, from 22 to 26 November 1943. The conference was attended by the representative of US President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and the General Chiang Kai Shek as an emissary of China; also participated Edvard Benes, President of Czechoslovakia and a representative of Free France.
The topics covered the conference were: the United Nations future, in which two classes of members and defined, "big" "small"; the Pacific War against Japan and its implications for the future of China, Korea and Indochina; future military operations of the allies in Europe; and finally, the campaign of Italy, which had already signed a secret armistice with the Allies on September 3 of that year. Among the decisions taken at the conference, was the solemn affirmation of the assistants to maintain the war against Japan until the complete surrender of the Japanese Empire. At the same time, Japan is demanding the return of Taiwan and Manchuria to China (known as the Fourth Great Power) and its withdrawal from the colonies of Korea and Taiwan as well as the repeal of the mandates of the League of Nations that conferred the Japan sovereignty over almost all territories of Micronesia at the end of the First World War.

The conference attendees also expressed forcefully their lack of interest in expand territorially at the expense of Japan and no demand of economic reparations.

Juicios de Nuremberg (20 de noviembre de 1945) /// Nuremberg trials (November 20, 1945)

En la ciudad alemana de Nuremberg, el 20 de noviembre de 1945, comienzan los Juicios de Nuremberg que se extenderían hasta el 1 de agosto de 1946. El juicio, llevado a cabo en el palacio de Justicia de Nuremberg, sería uno de los jucios más importantes de toda la historia,  ya que se juzgaba a los principales culpables de crímenes que atentaban contra la humanidad, la paz y, sobre todo, crimenes de guerra. En dicho juicio se trataba de juzgar a la cúpula más alta de la jerarquía nazi. Este hecho no llego a producirse debido a que los más altos jerarcas Alemania nazi se suicidaron antes del juicio (como Himmler, Goebbels y Hitler). El único que llego con vida al juicio de Nuremberg fue Hermann Göring Mariscal del Reich. Este juicio pasó a la historia como el fin de la barbarie humana y el comienzo de una fuerte paz futura basada en un orden internacional que no permitiese la repetición de los hechos vividos durante la segunda guerra mundial.
Durante el juicio de trtaron los siguientes cargos:

  • 1 - Crímenes contra la paz: aquellos por lo que se violan los tratados internacioles o favorecen el ataque sin justificación contra otra nación.
  • 2 - Crímenes contra la humanidad: planificación, ejecución o participación en exterminios y genocidios.
  • 3 - Crímenes de guerra: incumplimiento de las leyes o convenios internacionales sobre la guerra.
  • 4 - Conspiración.

Tras la exposición por parte de la acusación y la defensa de todos los alegatos, el tribunal de Nuremberg dictó sentencia tras 216 sesiones de juicio el 1 de Octubre de 1946. En dicha sentencia se encontraron culpables a 19 de los 22 imputados. Las condenas fueron las siguientes:


  • Hess, Raeder y Funk : cadena perpetua.
  • Speer y Schirach : condenados a veinte años de prisión.
  • Neurath : quince años.
  • Doenitz : diez años.
  • Göring, Ribbentrop, Keitel, Kaltenbrunner, Rosenberg, Frank, Frick, Streicher, Seyss-Inquart, Sauckel , Jodl, Bormann : condenados a la pena de muerte en la horca.
  • Schacht, Fritzsche y Von Papen : el tribunal los absolvió tras no encontrar pruebas contra ellos.

Los jueces representantes de cada país eran:

Francis Biddle (Estados Unidos)



(Mencionaremos como hecho resaltante durante el juicio, que Göring, fué el que más mostró fidelidad a Hitler a pesar de todo lo que había ocurrido y en la situacion en que se encontraba, solo mostró un poco de corazón cuando al mostrale las atrocidades echas por los nazis en los campos de concentración optó por bajar la mirada ante la dureza de las imágenes).

In the german city of Nuremberg, November 20, 1945, Nuremberg trials begin to be extended until 1 August 1946.   • 3 - War crimes: violation of laws or international conventions on war.
  • 4 - Conspiracy.

Following the presentation by the prosecution and defense of all pleadings, the Nuremberg Tribunal delivered its judgment after trial sessions 216 October 1, 1946. In that judgment were found guilty 19 of the 22 accused. The sentences were:


  • Hess, Raeder and Funk: life imprisonment.
  • Speer and Schirach: sentenced to twenty years in prison.
  • Neurath: fifteen.
  • Doenitz: ten years.
  • Goering, Ribbentrop, Keitel, Kaltenbrunner, Rosenberg, Frank, Frick, Streicher, Seyss-Inquart, Sauckel, Jodl, Bormann: sentenced to death by hanging.
  • Schacht, Von Papen and Fritzsche: the court acquitted them after finding no evidence against them.

Comienza la Operación Urano. La operación consistió en proveer suficientes hombres para hostigar al 6to ejercito alemán en Stalingadro al mando del general Paulus, mientras que a la otra orilla del Río Volga se reunían numerosas tropas (alrededor de mas de 1 millon de hombres) y cientos de tanques (en su mayoria los T-34). Esta estrategia tenía como objetivo, distraer al 6to ejercito dentro de Stalingrado, mientras que mediante un movimiento de pinzas desde el norte y el sur, cercarían al ejercito alemán dentro de Stalingrado. Este cercamiento o "bolsa" fue posible gracias a que la retaguardia del ejercito alemán estaba constituida por fuerzas rumanas, que eran más débiles que las alemanas e inferior en catidad. Durante esta contienda, se enfrentaron por un lado, las fuerzas el Grupo de Ejercitos B, al mando del general Maximilian von Weichs, y las fuerzas soviéticas al mando de los generales Nikolái Vatutin (pinza del sur) y Konstantín Rokossovsky (pinza del norte). La Operación Urano, tendría como concecuencia, el incio de la tentativa del romper el cerco sovietico que apresaba al 6to ejercito, operacion denominada Wintergewitter, el fracaso de esta y el posterior aniquilamiento del 6to ejercito de Paulus, ocacionando el final de la Batalla de Stalingrado.
